I can see a slight drop off in Lebron's game. I notice what the average basketball fan won't notice. First off he's a less explosive then he use to be. His energy level has dropped (maybe that has to do with it being the beginning of the season, but if it continues after 10-13 games then his energy in fact has diminished). Also he appears less physically strong then before, maybe that has to do with the weight lost though.

Most will disagree about the explosiveness, but if you've been watching James his whole career then you will know. He's about as equally explosive as John Wall is (still very explosive though). When LJ use to drive to the basket, you could antcipate him being fouled or scoring, now, it's like 33% he may score, 33% he'll get stopped and turn the ball over, 33% he'll get fouled.

When you rely on athletic ability more so then pure skill, when your althetic ability diminishes you are a changed player. LJ isn't as explosive or strong, and his jump shot has never been that good. The reason why Vince Carter is still a solid player is because after those knee injuries Carter started working on his jump shot and he's actually very good at it now.

I don't believe he can carry a COMPLETELY shit team deep into the playoffs like he use too during his first stint with the CAVS (not saying that this year CAVS is shit because their not).

All that being said he's still the best player in the League.

hes deffering more so that it seems to be kyrie/loves/waiters team rather than just his team. this way when they ultimately lose, the blame will be less on lebron and more so on other teammates.

Happens when you run a new system with new team mates. Have to take time to learn each others and coaches schemes which mean a lot more thinking at this stage rather than reacting. When people start fitting into the system and knos the plays well enough then they will all look faster and stronger

its only been two games.

its far too early to judge him and say that hes a different player now. apparently he is having some issues with his back as well.

Good thread but a LeBron with absolutely zero athleticism is still better than prime Kobe so it's all good

Lebron is more althetic then Kobe or Jordan, but he's less skilled. He's still the better player though because he has physical attributes that they never possessed.

I hate Lebron, but this EXACT SAME TOPIC came up last year, right before Lebron decided to score 60.

he's 29 and one of the most athletic human beings out there.

Return to me with this thread when he's 35 years old.
