I think the top 3 are Durant, Melo and Iso Joe

The man can do it all.

I love Johnson. He just doesn't have the consistency to really compete with the others.

is there a difference between a scorer, and a pure scorer?

When you have an unlimited amount of shots it isn't that impressive, then again he is coming back from a major injury so it depends how you look at it.

You mean isolation scorer. His handles at his size, jumper, and ability to create space are what makes him so hard to guard 1 on 1. He can always create a good shot for himself in any situation. Same reason why he's so successful in late game situations.

Lebron is a good scorer, but it's not necessarily what he does best.

Melo, Durant, Kobe are pure scorers as it's what they're best at.

Good post. He's always been like a much slower, less athletic version of McGrady to me. Both smooth, nice jumper, sick handle.

JJ is awesome.. just methodical in how he breaks the defense down.

I dont think ive ever seen him throw a dunk down or go hard at the rim though.:lol Everythings a touch shot.

Don't know but when he's on, he's definitely one of the toughest checks in league. More so than his superior counterparts when they are on.

6'8' and 240 and can do it all on the basketball court for a guard.

Shoot from range
distribute especially out of the post
post up smaller guards (which is practically every other guard in the league)

he does seem to have an issue of focus or flat out disappearing at times. However, i think with a bigger role this season and possibly more minuets will help him stay engaged in the game.

What the **** is a pure scorer?

someone who can get you a bucket on demand.

Dirk could put up 17ppg.. but hes a more capable scorer than 95% of the guys who outscore him from game to game.

he is/was one of the few who scored the ball well even late into the season, heavily logged with minutes.
