Not really. You need to average 24 points in 10 seasons to get to 20,000. Melo's played 12 seasons.

Even playing 82 games a year (almost impossible) You still fall short of 20k after 10 years at 24ppg.

I don't think anyone is arguing that Melo is on the same level as Lebron though. There's Lebron and Durant and then there's a gap between those two and the Howards/Melos/CP3s of the league
