Let's face it, the past 4 seasons have been pretty boring. We knew Miami was going to come out of the East every season and face either the Spurs or Thunder.

This is the first season in 5 years I'm truly excited about the NBA again. All thanks to the Spurs destroying Miami in the finals last season. That caused LeBron to go back to Cleveland and all the major moves we saw this summer.

The NBA title is completely up for grabs. Spurs could repeat or the Thunder, Clippers, Warriors, Mavericks, Grizzlies or Trailblazers could come out of the West. Chicago, Miami or Cleveland could come out of the East.

That's not true at all. Warriors, Mavericks and Clippers are all good enough to beat the Spurs and Thunder. And Miami and Chicago are good enough to beat Cleveland. The title is completely up for grabs.

2011 was exciting.

It was the most exciting since 2008. 2012 was also very exciting.

Tell me how Cleveland is better than Miami and Chicago. They're not. All 3 teams are even. On paper, Chicago is better than both. Look at that roster the Bulls have.

And tell me how the West belongs to just the Spurs and Thunder? Clippers, Warriors and Mavericks all have stacked teams. The Mavericks are the only team who took the Spurs to 7 games in the playoffs last season and the Mavericks are even better this season with the additions of Tyson Chandler and Chandler Parsons.

2012 sucked. How was that exciting at all? Lockout season, Rose getting hurt in the playoffs. Miami repeating. Boring.

Miami was considered underdogs to the Thunder. Thunder/Heat finals >>> Bulls. How is that debatable?

Too bad the Bulls roster will be dead by the time the playoffs start.

Yea I agree, this season is exciting because Kobe is playing again. Also the Knicks COULD be relevant which is always good for the league.

basketball isnt played on paper

Cleveland already beat miami, they also beat chicago twice. Plus they have 0 chemistry right now so i expect the team to be 10x better by the playoffs.

Clippers and warriors have no chance of beating the spurs. I doubt they could beat okc as well. Mavericks match up well with the spurs but they would get destroyed by okc.

Replace Miami with Cleveland and the NBA landscape is pretty much exactly the same as it has been for the past 3 years :facepalm

Yea if you like lock outs, and injuries.

I was about to say. 2012 was relatively lame. Lots of sloppy basketball because of the condensed schedule and guys being out of shape.

2012 was exciting to me. There were a bunch amazing games on every night. Teams had to play a bunch of back to back to back games. The Bulls going strong without Rose was a big surprise. Linsanity, Clips with CP3, Celtics vs Miami, and a bunch of stuff. Plus the whole thing with LBJ always choking in the 4th jokes were super strong that year after the 2011 choke.

The Heat was still treated like villains, but not like they were in 2011. 2011 was the most exciting year for the Heat. The decision, the hate, the expectation, Wade and LBJ combo, all of that was amazing to watch. The 2013 was the most exciting playoffs run and the streak.

2011 was a very exciting year for basketball. No matter how you felt about them, I don't know any basketball fan who didn't wanna see how the Heat's season would play out. You also had the Lakers gunning for a 3peat, the Thunder establishing themselves as a contender, the Bulls led by MVP Rose, established contenders like the Celtics and Spurs still in the championship mix, and Dirk and the Mavs capping everything off with a surprising championship run

Wait, what? The Bulls got BOUNCED in the playoffs as the #1 seed the second Rose went down in game 1 with his ACL tear. The #1 seed lost to the #8th seed. It didn't even go 7 games w/o Rose. Barely won a single game without him. Goes to show how overrated Thibs, and that supporting cast really was by Derrick's haters. He deserved his MVP.

the greatest player in modern basketball won his 2nd ring, capping it by an historical, all time great GAME 7 - fantastic season :pimp:

Injuries galore though... all that needs to happen is someone from Cleveland getting injured to even the playing field.

LeCurse* at it again.

Past four years have been insane. 2014 Western first round playoffs was the craziest thing.

In the playoffs, half of the team got injured, right? Noah got injured, couldn't finish the series. Rose got injured in the first game. I think Gibson got injured, but played anyway? It was more than just Rose, even though that really affected the morale.

And the Bulls going strong in the regular season was a big surprise seeing how Rose was out for almost half the season. No one expected them to get the number 1 seed in the East.
