Bosh's first 3 games this season: 26, 11, 4 on 48%

Bosh's first 3 games in 09-10: 31, 15, 2, on 47%

Bosh's first 13 games in 09-10: 27, 12, 2, on 51%

Bosh put up much bigger numbers to open that season, and kept up the pace he's currently on this year all the way through Thanksgiving in 09/10, yet something tells me there wasn't a fraction of the MVP talk for Bosh on these boards back then as there is right now

His team is 3-0 when before this season a bunch of idiots in the media were acting like that team was LeBron and a bunch of scrubs.

So that adds another bit of intrigue to what Bosh is doing. The Heat are winning games along with him playing great.

The Raptors didn't win much.

I'd say because the surrounding cast in Toronto was garbage, and that team success wasn't as likely as such as it is now.

He's playing with Wade, Deng, McRoberts, Birdman, Cole, Chalmers, Napier, Ennis. It's a solid group. By far better than any team he had as a Raptor.

Now I don't think he's going to legitimately challenge for the MVP this year, but it's far more probable today than it was back then.

Bosh is going to finish like top 7-10 in voting this year.

People said the Heat wouldn't even make the playoffs without Bran...

It's because of the wins. But sadly this will change soon since you really can't count on Wade staying healthy. Just look at the last 3 years how many health problems Wade had and that was when he was younger and could take a game off almost whenever he wanted if he felt just a slight discomfort in his body. All because of the prevention, because he was desperately needed healthy in the playoffs.

That's when you could count on Lebron to do the heavy lifting for Miami. And the fact is Lebron's playing style is build for such a task, it was back when he was still with the Cavs before the Decision and it was with Miami. And that's also something what, those who are saying that you could easily replace Lebron with Melo and you will win even more, don't take into account since you really can't find a player in this league who can carry average-bad teams like Lebron can.

And without Lebron there, that means that Wade won't be able to take as many games off as he could in the past 2 years if Miami wants to stay competitive in the regular season. He will play even if he's not 100%. And we all know how risky is that for Wade judging by his past.

Miami is 3-0 after 3 games in 2014-15
Toronto was 1-2 after 3 games in 2009-10
Toronto was 5-8 after 13 games in 2009-10

How many players in history on teams with losing records have won, or even been considered in contention, for the MVP?
