Watching "Friday Night Lights" atm, on episode 4 of season 3. This may overtake "The Office" as my favorite show of all time.

Years late on watching it but man oh man I love it. The character development and the acting (besides Layla) is amazing:rockon:

The Wire is boring. I watched season 1. Couldn't get myself to start season 2 and I love raw/intellectual tv, but the pace was slow.

This is definitely true. I've seen it all the way through 3 times and I still don't mind re-runs.

The rewatch was better than the first time. Season 4 of Breaking Bad was really underwhelming on the second viewing.

Gun to my head I'd probably say The Sopranos. The Wire and Mad Men would both be in the conversation, with Breaking Bad probably just a tick below. I'd also have to recognize growing up incredibly attached to The Simpsons and Seinfeld. And Game of Thrones still needs time, but I love it.

There's a fair amount of stuff that is just a notch below that for me. Dexter, Lost, and a bunch of other things.

I'm also about halfway through Twin Peaks right now, and have completely fallen for it. I'm considering getting an Audrey Horne tattoo.

For sci-fi I really like the stargate SG-1 series, had a great lore built up by the time it ended.

I just watched Friday Night Lights earlier this year, and while it's a bit cheesey and overly high school soap opera-ish at times, it really is excellent.

Coach and Mrs. Coach are great.

Yeah, I'd agree. A couple story lines are just crazy and irrelevant but overall it's a very good show. Good production quality too. I'd say Matt and Tim are strong characters that have some great moments. I really liked the Smash Williams character too.

One thing I hate about this type of show is that everyone is going crazy about getting their school paid for in a poor family. Haven't any of these characters heard of student loans? :lol

I agree. Smash, Riggins, Saracen / Julie, and a few of the other kids are great characters (I was not fond of Lyla or Street, and Buddy has some rough moments), and I have a huge crush on Tyra, so even though some of her stuff gets a little out of control, I can overlook it (and therefore some of Landry's rough spots too).

One of the other things this show shockingly pulls off, is a complete re-birth for the last two seasons. And it actually works. That's almost unheard of.

Yeah, the one Tyra and Landry storyline that is wildly out of left field and then disappears despite the fact that it should have massive consequences is hilarious. Don't want to spoil it for anyone but it's a huge WTF for the show.

The fact that they landed an actor as talented as Michael B. Jordan for the final two seasons really helped the show.
