Out of the bad films he's put out the last 20 years or so like 'Pluto Nash' and 'Metro' among other crap, what's the best of the worse?

It's definitely either "Imagine That" or "Norbit". I hated those movies.

Meet Dave is a horrible movie, but it's hilarious, unlike his other horrible movies.

Eddie Murphy's best "bad" film?
bro, who gives a shit about eddie murphy any more?

raw was brilliant. beyond brilliant. i signed up for the cult of eddie at the time... but what a major disappointment that was. very much like steve martin... brilliant dude, sold out badly... he's little more than a punchline now.

just sad, really.

now compare that to a bill murray. see what i'm motherf-cking saying?

Eddie Murphy has good films? He should have stayed true to stand-up.

Does Bowfinger count? I guess it might be more obscure than some of the others mentioned but definitely not a "bad" film...thought it was pretty brilliant.

I'd put Bowfinger in the almost elite level with the likes of Golden Child, Beverly Hills Cop II, Harlem Nights and Life.

48 Hour, Delirious, Beverly Hills Cop, Trading Places, Raw, Coming To America, Boomerang, The Nutty Professor, Dreamgirls are his best films.

Than a level below we got The Golden Child, Beverly Hills Cop II, Harlem Nights, Another 48 Hours, Dr. Doolittle, Life, Bowfinger, Shrek, Norbit.

Below that The Distinguished Gentleman, Vampire in Brooklyn, Nutty Professor II, I Spy, Daddy Day Care and A Thousand Words.

The rest ... includes Best Defense, Showtime, Meet Dave amongst others.
