I haven't driven the Mercedes, but I currently drive the X1 and it is a very nice car. Same with the Q3, taken it for a spin and loved it.
X1 is great on gas too, and gives you decent performance considering how very little it uses in terms of gas. Would you be getting the diesel model?

In all honesty, the Mercedes is the ugliest out of the lot, and in terms of these lines of cars, Mercedes "cheaper" models are something I've never found to be of their top quality. Seems like they skimp out on a lot on their more affordable models. Just my opinion.

What are the prices like in the US for these? These are all essentially $60,000 cars over here in Australia.

ive only tested the audi q3 from these, leaning towards the 2.0 tsfi version (gas), diesel is nice but car handling is a bit bulkier due to engine weight, loved the car

heard great stuff from the x1 as well

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the new X1 models come with a 8 gear box if you're going to be getting an auto. I drive stick, so it doesn't phase me too much, but if the chance was there now to get an auto I'd go for it considering it would further cut down gas consumption.

I'd honestly pick between the Audi and BMW. Just my opinion considering my dislike for the more affordable Mercedes models.

Whats really crazy is the fact you can buy an S5 over there for just about 50 grand, and over here they run for $150k... I remember someone on here talking about owning one, and naturally I consider everything in Australian prices. I was thinking we have some loaded people on here, but it is just 3 times cheaper over there... :facepalm

Going by looks I would go with the Audi. It is the nicer looking one of the three.

not much of a german guy. all my cars have been japs. always been a lexus guy. i had a IS300 in college and i currently have a 2011 Lexus GS350. i want the new one but cant afford that right now with a 3 month old lol.

anyways. i like the new NX which is in the same class as the ones you posted.

Are these German SUVs actually worth it? I can understand paying more for the German cars vs. the alternatives when it comes to sedans and coupes. For the 3 series and C class, because you can argue that it's worth it for the better driving experience.
But not sure how you can argue the same in the case of these SUVs. Waste of money imo, compared to offerings from manufacturers like Infiniti, Lexus, Jeep etc. IMO

My aunt has a Q3 and loved it. Plus, that Audi quattro AWD is a nice bonus.

Yes, they are.

Same can be applied to the SUV's as to the sedans.

OP, go for the Audi, you seem pretty set on it. It is the best looking of the 3 IMO. But at the same time I'd advise you to at least look at the X1 before you buy. I'm an Audi guy too, so I'd probably lean towards it, but I really like the X1 I drive around currently which is why I'm recommending it.
