Kevin Durant is still way better than Davis.

Lebron James. That was too easy. Next? Or do you want more players for me to add? Davis is a top 5 player, could argue top 3. He just isn't nearly the best player in the world. That is a fool talking. I'm sorry I was rude, hello fool how are you today?

Okay he's getting a bit overrated right now... Just wait for the time to come.

Yes right now if I want to win an NBA title I'm taking Durant

So when Durant comes back he has to prove why he is better than Davis, who after 4 games is not only the best player in the NBA, but the world. Solid, I think I get where this logic is going. At any rate, since Happy Hour started can someone pass me the brews you guys are downing?

It's like I said last year about the rankings going into next season

1. Durant
2. Davis
3. LeBron? Paul? Westbrook?

After 1 and 2 you can put a number of guys there atm.

If we only count their play this season, yes, and it's not even arguable or close.

We'll see if LeBron picks up his play, and how Durant looks when he comes back.

Durant isn't playing right now and who knows if he ever returns to form. As of right now, we must take him out of the top 30.

Well obviously right this second he's had the best year.. But overall it's way too early to say. I'm betting on Lebron working himself into shape and getting his game together. And on Durant coming back strong. So AD's #3 for me..close between him and a few others, but it's certain.

Though if AD sustains this (which is entirely possible)..and ends the year a consistent 24/13/3/3/1 player with elite defense...it would be debatable. He'd be knocking on the door of #1.

His recent play during the early part of the season is placing him in the conversation. Watching the highlights of last night's game I noticed that he hit something like four jumpers from the elbow, and is an 80% ft shooter. He even hit one off the dribble. Combine that with his athleticism and elite defense he is definitely starting to enter the discussion IMO. I just have to see how long this lasts.

Yes who knows if Durant during his time off will ever get his jumper back.

Only on ISH can a guy who is the best player in the world lose that title after 4 NBA games. :oldlol:

And since we are at it? Kobe looks like the 40th ranked player in the NBA.

I hope Davis doesn't get injured otherwise Noel would be better than him. Scary thought

Why wouldnt KD be the best when he comes back? It was a minor injury

He wasn't the best even when he was healthy.

You said Durant would stay with team USA and is a man who represents his country unlike that jerk Kevin Love!

How did that turn out? :coleman:

not picking up on obvious sarcasm... :facepalm

I knew Durant would leave too after all the minutes he played last year. Sometimes I set up the shitstorm to keep ISH a little interesting.

He doesn't have the track record yet. He has to do this for a few years and also do well in the playoffs. Kevin Love got called the best PF in the world without ever making the playoffs:oldlol:

He is the third best player in the world. #2 is in a boot, #1 left his nuts in South Beach, but should find them soon.

Funny thing is some of us were vocal that AD would be 3rd best this year and got totally merked on this forum. See you later haters...:pimp:

The scariest part about Davis's game is that so many of his points come from hustle plays like offensive rebounds/putbacks, running the floor in transition, lob plays, etc. He's by no means an unskilled player, but his physical talent is making things very easy for him. His jumper is already developing nicely, and he's got a guard-like feel within his position which adds another dimension to his offense..once he can fully combine skill-oriented scoring (more back to the basket game) with his insane physical tools and unique instincts..I don't know how you guard him.

And I still can't believe he's only 21. By 26-27..this dude is gonna make the NBA boring by how dominant he is.

(I have a suspicion this has some kind of age requirement on it, but still, incredible.)

Did the king die? Lebron james is by far the best player in the nba right now. Durant would be second, but with an injury like that, i think he will decline. It was serious, and it will likely change his career forever.

It has to, I just checked Duncan's 2002-03 game log and he has 21 such games in that season alone.

That can't be right. Guys like Olajuwon, Robinson, and Ewing averaged those numbers for multiple seasons.

Isn't he averaging like 20pts on 38ish% shooting while having minimal impact? He's a better player than Davis but the RIGHT NOW part is key to this whole topic.
