Are people really trying to use 0-5 against Kobe when he has the worst supporting cast in the league? Meanwhile the "best player in the world" is surrounded by all stars and is currently 1-3

Dude scored 39 points on 37 shots just a night ago. There isn't anything effortless about it.

Seriously... 24.4 shots a game for 27.6 points; 40% shooting. Dude needs to learn to share the rock.

While i agree Bean shoot too much, who is he supposed to pass to? He's the only shot creator on the Lakers.

Someone who is shooting a higher percentage than him. Over time, there is always a marginal return on shots. Give it to someone who is shooting a higher percentage, who isn't tired, and who is getting a better look than you.

Percentages aren't that simple. If someone has an open look from a spot they are capable from, then yeah give it to them. But you can't expect Kobe to just give it to Lin, Boozer, etc. and tell them to go dominate.

Dude looked like he was on the verge of death the last game where he chucked 37 shots to get 39 points. On the season he's taking 24 shots to get 27 points on 40% FG (.488 TS%). He also has a 38.6% Usg rate, second highest of his career.

He's working hard out there with no impact on the win column. If Scott keeps working him like a Chinese sweat shop sneaker maker, same result as last season.

At least Kobe's bricking his shots now. I remember back in his late teens and early 20s, he used to throw up game losing air balls in the play-offs.

well the "he's done" comments have pretty much shut up, because it's obvious he can still ball. so now he's a chucker and a loser... and then when they win games it will be something else... same ole' same ole'.

I will say this, he is obviously giving everything he has out there.... he needs to start working smarter, not harder.

Empty stats on the worst team in the NBA. Jerry Stackhouse level impact from Kobe. Kirby's RAPM numbers are going to be terrible this year.

Just like the Lebron threads, this is far too early in the season to predict anything. Kobe might average 28 ppg for the season on 40%, or he might average 21 ppg on 48%, or anything in between. It's been 5 GAMES.

All we can say with reasonable clarity is that the Lakers look overall as bad or even worse than anticipated. Whether Kobe will adjust and shoot less with an attempt to facilitate more and become more efficient remains to be seen. Given Kobe's stubbornness and individual will to singlehandedly win, I could see him going 20-30 games before trying something different. However, I don't think Kobe wants to be in last place, even if he is putting up gaudy scoring numbers on low efficiency. At some point, if the Lakers keep losing, Kobe will try to facilitate. But when/if that happens and what Kobe's final numbers for the season will look like -- it's way too early to tell.

Nice try, retard, but Iverson was doing 33 PPG on 45% shooting after the rule change at 30. You should know considering it was the same year as Kobe's legendary 35 PPG season where he was doing unthinkable things like scoring 2 more points than a 30 year old Iverson.

How can you even say that last part? Stay on your other board. What happened? Whenever Kobe is on a title, do you get a tingling sensation? Or do you lurk and simply couldn't help yourself?
