This is bound to get some trolling, but honestly who do you think was better? Passing, defense etc

Without the ball it looks a little creepy

A game I'd love to see would be the one Cousy gave 28 assists, just to do the counting again in modern terms.

That would be pretty interesting, the pace of his era definitely helped but so would the less strict assist rules of today

I assume you think Cousy is the better of the two?

Yes, it's also not as if Skiles wasn't also helped by the fact that the Magic faced a historically bad defensive team, playing at a high pace, which gave up 155 points, etc. Nobody would try to "normalize" this.

And yes, obviously Cousy was better. Skiles, a better shooter, both non-notable defenders, Cousy was either straight up better or more advanced, era for era, in everything else.

Skiles' 30 assists were all absolutely legit. No Rondo or CP3 assists in that game.

What I meant is that Cousy might also have had more than 28 assists in that game, as long as the statisticians of the day credited only his "only scoring without dribbling" assists.

Ah, I see. Skiles was definitely credited with some "single dribble" assists. I can see how Cousy might have had several of those uncredited. Which for the record ARE assists IMO, just not the behind-the-back crossover stutter step triple crab dribble layup that counts as an "assist" if CP3 or Rondo was the passer lol.

Gotta go Cousy EASILY! At one time was the GOAT PG and really changed the game in an epic fashion. For PG's who are pass first BUT not ALPHA DOG scorers, guys like Cousy, Stockton, Kidd, Rondo, Mark Jackson, and Cheeks are the best of all time. However, Skiles is VERY underrated in that sense. He came into his own in Orlando but Penny came and took his spot. From there he retired early at 31. Which is a shame because really came into his own as a very good floor general.

It would of been interesting to see how his career turned out. Shaq definitely helped but watching him I'm impressed. If I showed people today a picture of him in black and white (http://www.gannett-cdn.com/-mm-/562f30fbb11369d5aa2fd1919c3fc29db77531cc/c=0-25-774-1056&r=537&c=0-0-534-712/local/-/media/MIGroup/Lansing/2014/09/12/1410535549000-Scott-Skiles-BW.jpg) they'd think he was some scrub from the 60's who couldn't play today.

Great season for him, even had a high of 32 points shooting 10 for 15 and 10 for 10 at the line
