The idea of a next gen could also be very interesting, but really I'm not that into prequels. Just make another mob series. Set it in any era you like, but don't tie it to THE SOPRANOS. A series done about the New York faction and 5 families would be legit.

Maybe he can run out of ideas and make two seasons about a homosexual non-character to cash in once again.

All-time scrub tv writer. People obsessed with Italian/mob culture made this ***** a millionaire. Scorsese made film, this assbag...I don't know what he's doing.

Cool movie about Jersey rock btw. It's right next to Bring It On 5 on Netflix.

Sounds dumb to ask but what is The Sopranos about?

A movie about Johnny Soprano?

Do it!

They'd never be able to align the characters in a way I'd be ok with I don't think.

I could probably get behind something of a prequel that covered the rise of some of the guys from the other families. John Sacrimoni, Phil Leotardo, Carmine Lupertazzi and his son Little Carmine. There'd be enough there to build to without having so much history with the characters that you'd have to get it to match. That could be cool.

It probably wouldn't work either though.

He said that because he's promoting the release of series on Blu-ray. Worked like a charm. Look at the buzz it created.

There's not going to be a prequel.

Yes, please. It doesn't even have to be directly related to the Sopranos. But a look into 60-70s Crime era would be nice. I love gangster shit and need my fix now that boardwalk empire died
