View Full Version : Is Kawhi the only FMVP who wasn't an all star?

I can't think of any FMVP who hadn't been an all star at least once prior to them winning the award. Those of you who play fantasy football know about a RBBC or "running back by committee". That's basically what it was this year, FMVP by committee. Kawhi's definitely an incredible player still with lots of potential but 20 years from now when you look at the list of all FMVPs, he might be the odd man out.

Pretty sure Cedric Maxwell never made the All-Star team.

Billups was first selected as an All-Star in the 2005-06 season, after he had already won the FMVP award.

Billups didn't become an all star until 2 years later.
Dumars the next season in 1999.
Cornbread was never an all star.

Bird should have been FMVP over Maxwell
Duncan should be FMVP over Parker and Leonard in their respective years.

Chauncey aint a bum, neither is Dumars, Maxwell, Parker and Leonard

thats why the spurs are awesome. the team and entire organisation dont give one fvk about meaningless individual awards. as long as they win it all

This. at most, leonard should have been co-mvp with duncan. People just don't look at stats and defensive impact together. Duncan had better stats as well as better defensive impact than leonard who played great defense but lebron still scored a lot on him.
