View Full Version : Kendrick Perkins and Serge Ibaka froze out Reggie Jackson

He played selfishly at times in his season debut at Brooklyn on Monday, putting on a one-man show and what seemed to be a dribbling exhibition designed to search for his own shot. He finished with a game-high 23 points but took 20 shots. Perry Jones and Serge Ibaka, the next two highest shot takers, had 12 and 11 shot attempts, respectively. Jackson had five assists but committed five fouls and seven turnovers.

Ibaka and Kendrick Perkins grew frustrated with Jackson by the third quarter. Both big men began freezing out their point guard, refusing to pass him the ball to lead the break following defensive rebounds.

After the game, Thunder coach Scott Brooks even publicly criticized Jackson for not moving the ball.

Jackson took responsibility.

Perkins blows dick but he sounds like a good guy. Good for him to admit that he was wrong.

I am growing more and more into not liking Reggie Jackson.

Even before his contract became a big deal, he still played like one of those guys who does too much dumb shit because he thinks he's better than he is. Like last year whenever he'd look off KD and then turn it over or something. Brooks has to bench him when he does that shit.

Honestly I'd much rather have guys like Roberson or Adams over Reggie and thats even disregarding whatever each will get paid. Roberson and Adams both came to OKC with zero expectations or wants. They just worked their asses off and let the rest take care of itself. Hell they even asked Adams about starting and he said that he didn't give a shit. Roberson seems the exact same way. Funny how both of those guys end up starting while Reggie and Harden don't.

Reggie also does this thing in games where he grimaces a lot if he's playing through a little pain. And I know it's normal to grimace when playing through injuries but he does it ALL THE TIME almost like he's trying to remind people around him that he's hurt instead of focusing on the game.

He's the best player on this team currently. This will be his last year here so why not let him have some fun and win us games

And this is why westbrook, ai, marbury, irving, bran and other score first pgs are such low impact players. Its because nobody wants to play with them thus being considered cancers.

I actually noticed this too. I thought I was just trippin, but I guess I wasn't. I remember Perkins committing a turnover because he was trying to get the ball to Telfair instead of Jackson and Jackson was the easier pass.

Kd got bailed out last year by jackson...

Jackson had one good game then, but it doesn't mean shit now. I'm 100% expecting Jackson to leave somewhere else after this season and I'll be perfectly fine with it. Our team now wouldn't even need Jackson to "bail them out" like he did in one game last year.
