These three were all compared to each other back in the day. Based on talent VC and TMAC > Kobe. Now look at where they are. They are all old and have suffered serious injuries.

VC- 37 years old. 6.2, 0.5, 1.8. PER 4.33

TMAC- 35 years old. Out of the NBA.

Kobe- 36 years old. 27.6, 2.8, 5.2. PER 19.96

Let that sink in.

VC hit a game winning shot in a playoff game at 36
Kobe hasn't been in a playoff game for 2 years and won't be in any playoff game this year or next.
Old man vc> Old man Kobe

Carmelo Anthony is 30 years old and has suffered no serious injuries. He was also not in the playoffs last season despite playing in the weak East.

Melo- 19.5 4.3 4.5 PER 14.33.

Old man Kobe > Prime Melo.

I never understood this, how did they have more Talent, they did not, never did, and never will. Kobe was able to do everything those guys did but do it better, you can argue they're more athletic but that's literally it.

They were both better shooters too. The only difference was Kobe had Phil and Shaq

Vince had multiple seasons shooting 40% from 3, Kobe has never shot 40% from 3.

It's annoying how haters compare old Kobe to prime Bran and KD. It is more reasonable to compare him to his contemporaries who played the same position as he did.
