It sucks to see such a great player go out like this. Of course it hurts as a Laker fan that we traded picks for him but thats inconsequential compared to how these injuries have affected his career and livelihood. I wish him the best for when he retires.

He could have retired in the off season and saved the lakers a lot of money.
He even said he was only coming back for the money and then retires as soon as he can while still getting paid? No class.

No, he actually didn't say that. I think that you need to reread what he actually said and read it in its context.

So you expect someone to just give up the easiest $10 million they'll ever make?

:applause: nash doesn't deserve the hate. he is a model proffesional and he tried his utmost best to come back
Its sad the hate he's getting since in comparison, he has been one of the best teammates and overall personalities in the NBA.

I like him more after the explanation.
He's going to be 41 in 3 months. Even Malone and Kareem broke down eventually. The guy isn't in his 20s, or even his 30s anymore. He's a middle aged man who happened to dominate in the NBA until 38. Even at 38, he was averaging 13/11. The guy tried his best to get healthy over the last year. Age caught up to him like it does to everyone.

He needs to STFU and travel with the team like most other injured players.
He somehow gets a pass for that while collecting $9mil and then posts pics of himself having fun while his teammates get their brains beat in every night? Why wouldn't the fans be upset?

I always loved Steve Nash, he was a class act. However, not this time. The thing is, if Nash's gonna take the money, he should at least have the right attitude. I mean he should at least make an effort to show up in the games, even in a suit sitting on the bench, and participate in practice.
He posted a picture of him golfing, while not even being there while his team is getting the shit beat out of them. He has a lot explaining to do. No wonder some fans would be upset.
I mean don't take like 30 Mil for 3 years while barely playing. At least have the dignity to retire if you know you're done. Right now he's just sitting back and collecting checks for nothing. That's the whole reason he came back instead of retiring. He even admitted it was for the money.
