If police departments wouldn't just shove these incidents under the rug most of the time, I don't think there would be this ever growing movement against police misconduct we are seeing today. What a difference it makes when they suspend with pay vs without pay like in this case. The people don't feel like they've been raped and laughed at afterwards. That is a proper reaction to such blatant unjustified violence being caught on camera in increasing numbers every day. Make the abusive cops accountable!!

Not perfect. But that's a decent example of how to deal with cops.

Be aware of the law, know you're within it
Don't get back talk too much, don't physically resist no matter what
Don't relent and give up your rights if you do not feel comfortable doing so
Record everything
