Kawhi dominates Lebron and the Finals en route to MVP.. yet Popovich still refuses to run an offense involving Kawhi..

no plays are ran for him at all..
no post ups, no isos, no PnRs...
no offensive involvement, despite Kawhi being an excellent all-around Talent and one of the most skilled SFs in the game

Pop is sabotoging Kawhis contract year.. making kawhi look very average so nobody overpays him..

Spurs determined to save money

He said he still can't fully see out of his eye. That's probably true, but the only reason they/he said it is because he's been so bad.

Give him some time. He couldn't practice with the team for a while and the Spurs always have terrible starts.

That said, we won't be running the offense through him, because he's not that good of an offensive player.

The Spurs offensive system does not revolve around just one player. That's why they were unstoppable in the playoffs. Teams would lock down Parker and the other guys killed you. Why should this year be any different?

Kawhi has paid his dues and deserves some plays to be ran for him..

Ive seen Kawhi have plays for him and watch him scrub it up.

Dude is not an offensive focal piece on a good team. He is a scrapper, shoot when you get hot, finisher.

The reality even in the finals he barely had any plays run for him. He just got hot from three.

Kawhi shaking one of the best defenders of all time in a 1on1 situation.. Kawhi has lots of game but is being under utilized by Pop

The Spurs use the first 1/4th of the season as training camp/preseason every single year and Kawhi is coming off a serious eye infection.

Is this really a surprise to anyone right now? Wait till Christmas to make any judgments.

lol, you are acting like 3 ball. You have to use a wide range of games not one gif to think you proved your point.

Dude averaged 14 points in the playoffs.

18 points in the finals shooting 58% from 3.

That is not an offensive focal piece. The Spurs are an equal opportunity team in terms of scoring Leonard is like the next option behind Parker. Who will be the primary b handler. Somewhere near Manu and Duncan. If he gets hot he can outcore them for a series or a game. Will he do it reliably for a season or an entire playoffs? No.

Go watch his highlights from the finals on youtube.

They didnt run plays for him then....

He made a lot of open jumpers, tip ins, fast break dunks, and 2-3 nice moves a game. He was hardly isolated at the top of the key making shit happen.

He's gonna get a max contract or close to it no matter how many plays are run for him.

Just look at all the max contracts or near max contract given out this last off-season, and he is definitely better than most of those guys.

Someone will give him the max. The FMVP is a huge bargaining chip and I'm sure his agent is well aware of it.

Spurs are playing the same way they did last year, which got them a chip... yet Pop is all of a sudden sabotaging Kawhi, who you probably wouldn't even credit wasn't it for that exact system?

My post had nothing to do with Lebron's legacy. Living rent free in your head dawg. Just wait until he shits on the Bulls again in the postseason. :lol

I would start the regular season half assed also if I won the championship the previous season especially if I was Tim Duncan's age.
