Watching the two of them this year has me wondering how they would have fared had they came together without LeBron back in the summer of 2010. Keep in mind the Heat could have used LeBron's salary to fill out the roster with some nice complimentary pieces. A team with prime Wade and Bosh would certainly have been championship contenders, but would they have won a ring? Multiple? What kind of individual numbers would they have put up? Thoughts?

Maybe 2011, honestly besides that I don't see them winning a title

Bosh's PER is his highest since Toronto. Beast.

2011 for sure. Replace LeBron with any SF in the NBA and they still win (because the East was a cakewalk, and LeBron had a negative impact in the Finals).

Not after that. Wade deteriorated way too fast.

No rings, maybe one trip to the ECF. Bosh has proven he is incapable of raising his game in the playoffs.

IF, at the time, they would have picked up Deng, (at the time, his salary was like what? 8 mil?) and Kyle Lowry (who again, at the time was 6 mil), then they have some extra money to get some big men, and some shooters.

I think, they would still win A ring, but they would have been a low seed, on one of those years that wade was not really playing.

East didn't exactly look like a cakewalk.

2011 was by far the toughest competition the Big 3 Heat faced in the East, the defending conference champion Celtics were still legit, and the Bulls won 62 games, had the league MVP and HCA in the series

The East was FAR from a cakewalk

That is one of the dumbest things I've heard on here lately... TLP please.

Most likely a 3peat with any other Top 10-15 SF replacing Bron's spot. Name anybody. Rudy Gay, Luol Deng, Carmelo, Paul George, etc.

I'm the furthest thing from a Lebron advocate but the Heat do not win against the Spurs two years ago without him let alone surpass the Pacers in game 7. Too lazy to figure out who else they could have signed in 2010...

Not as dumb as him saying LeBron had a negative impact in the Finals.

and they cut through them like a hot knife through butter, they steamrolled the 11 Celtics and backdoor swept the Bulls

Like others have already stated, Wade+Bosh+Deng/Gay/Melo/Pau George-ESQUE type SF+ a Kyle Lowry type PG and a competent big would roll through the East evem more impressively than the 11 Heat.

2011 Wade was a BEAST
they woulda rolled 2012 too, after is where it gets dicey with Wade's health

With Bosh injured and Wade no longer at the peak of his powers, I don't think so. Unless you think Loul Deng could really duplicate LeBron's Game 6 at Boston, or entire 2012 playoff run in general

Remember the hypothetical assumes that we acquire more pieces in lieu of signing Lebron, maybe Al Jefferson would have taken 13 mil to come play in Miami with a prime Wade and Bosh in the 2010 summer instead of taking 15 in Utah.

Maybe we sign Kyle Lowry for 6 mil, send Chalmers packing, keep Bibby as the backup at the vet min.

Wade
Lowry
Jefferson
Deng

YEAH, we'd have ROLLED the Celtics, wouldnt have needed Lebron's heroics

You can't apply that type of logic in terms of the circumstanes being identical. Events wouldn't unfold in the exact same way, i.e. Bosh's injury and Game 6 in Boston.

Thanks for the feedback so far guys.

2011 probably. That's when Wade was still in his prime and still Flash. After that I don't know. It's not really fair to LeBron either because Wade and Bosh faced injuries during their championship runs. Do the injuries still happen in this scenario? Also, where is LeBron? Does he stay in Cleveland, go play with D Rose in Chicago, or go the the Knicks with Amare(who was a beast for most of 2010-2011). There's many things going on here.
