Phoenix and New Orleans are fringe-playoff teams, but they've played playoff teams mostly in the West. Just something to take into consideration when you evaluate how bad the team actually is.

Uhh, phoenix and new orleans did not make the playoffs last year, thus until proven otherwise they are not "playoff teams". And its not like they added a lebron or dwight over the offseason either. Theyre marginally improved at best.
The Lakers are a bottom 5 team no matter who they play
which is probably a good thing with the protections placed on their pick.
Philly and a handful of east teams will compete with the Lakers for a bottom 2-3 pick this season

I'd give them 20 games this year.
true, maybe 15
minus 5 - 10 games and i'll agree
5-77 seems like a daunting task for this Lakers team

This could be the worst LA team ever, even if the role players are better than the 06 roster.
