Yeah... I'll take 30 year old Carmelo over 36 year old Kobe without a doubt. Ask this question 5-8 years ago and the story is different. Knicks get much worse.

The obvious answer would be that the Knicks get worse and Lakers better but Melo with a better cast, in a shittier conference (with a way easier schedule) has his team sucking at a similar level as the Lakers so i'm not sure. I can't see the Knicks being worse than 2-7 with Kobe.
