Yea, since his rookie year I have been telling people he would have MJ-potential and score more than MJ ever will have.

20 years later...

It's going to happen. Big deal.

20 years.

And MJ only played 14. Missed most of his second season, and retired TWICE. And Kobe still has yet to catch up to him.

And even when Kobe finally passes him (and I know he's gunning for Malone and Kareem), then what?

He still fell far short of MJ overall.

And still had more misses before that. How does that happen?

more like 50 shot attempts, missing 50 is quite impossible, unless he plays 48 minutes and takes at least 51 shots (you know he'll make one).

Kobe might as well go 61 Wilt on the league, and shoot 40 times a game. Granted, his shooting percentage will be in Rubio territory, but he might put up 38 a game. Until he collapses.

Kobe doesn't have the luxury of being carried on a nightly basis.

Duncan has had more help for 10+ years.

Last year's game with Bill and Jalen commentating was really fun.

It's felt like years since a Kobe-Spurs game (well, it has been).

Every Spurs game this past week was after 3 am, which kinda sucked.

Jelly just like Bean

Duncan had more help overall from 05-present and won 3 rings. Kobe won 2.

Kobe had more help from 98-04 and won 3 rings. Duncan won 2.

Duncan has had more help for 10+ years.

Duncan never had the luxury of playing next to another top-ten all-time great in his prime.

Duncan never had the luxury of having the GOAT coach in Phil Jackson.

Despite this, he still won the majority of his titles as the first option while Kobe sidekicked his way to the majority of his championships.
