Pau broke up with his girlfriend (fiance?), and there was a rumor that it was because Kobe told his wife that Pau had another girlfriend on the side, and then Kobe's wife told Pau's girl about it. Then a second rumor started, which claimed that Shannon Brown had an affair with Pau's girlfriend, and Pau discovered it near the end of the regular season.

I'm pretty sure both of these rumors were just internet chatter bullshit, and haven't been substantiated in any way.

there's a reason pau stuck to basketball and refrained from commenting on kobe's personality. i'm sure kobe has as many likable traits as anybody else that would shine through after a number of years spent with him... but this doesn't count as vindication for the "see, kobe really IS a good teammate" thesis.

the friendship/bond that pau is referring to presumably has nothing to do with sitting down in a bar for a drink or having one another's families over for dinner. the core of that friendship/bond is that after 6-7 years together, they're still on speaking terms. which should be seen as an accomplishment, both for pau and kobe, though for different reasons.
