I'm not saying I agree with the Lakers strategy but it's what they are doing. They actually want to keep shedding contracts until Kobe leaves. They have the illusion that once he leaves they will make moves to get star players. Again that's not me wanting that to happen but what the F.O. Has kept stating to the fans and media. No matter how good Gallo is, the Lakers keep waiting for that star quality player. Whether it's delusion or not, the Lakers wont trade with anyone unless it gains them what they think is an above average player or pieces to acquire one.
