Another reason why Robin is the MVP, tbh.

Boxing out so his star can get his stats. He's the anti Marcus Camby.

Doing whatever is necessary to win.

Blazers are number 1 in rebounding, so it seems his team is just "stealing" from him. No biggy.

Robin is averaging 7 or 8 rebounds per game, that should be wrong

Those are his head to head stats against his brother

Brook is a much better player, when he plays. It's not even reasonably close. I'd rather have Robin though because Robin will actually be around January, February, etc. when Lopez is taking the remainder of the season off and getting a max salary. His foot problem isn't injury prone, it's a defect that's going to kill his career.

Disregard my statement.

It isnt debatable who the better player is.

Some of the nets beats writers, fan sites actually though Brook was being serious trash talking his brother and this was some sort of feud. :facepalm

Well now, he's averaging 7.2 rpg. Brook is averaging 5.5 :lol

How old is that pic?
Well it's new but some posters here cleared up the reason - it's their h2h stats. I took the image from NBA's twitter.

Wouldn't say Brook's much better...Ropin's really blossomed with the Blazers and IIRC was like top 3 last year for opponent FG% at the rim? I think he was also top 3 in offensive rebounds per game

I thought it was their season stats. Shit, my mistake.

Sometimes it happens that people don't get my jokes. Probably because my jokes are meaningless tho :lol

Robin was the only + defender on the Blazers last year. LMA too when Robin was alongside him.

He's a rich man's Kendrick Perkins. And I mean that in the most affectionate way.

In a vacuum I'd rather have Robin...but it's close. But for 10 less million a year? We might as well be comparing Jordan to Kobe.

No they did not.

Stop making stuff up about what the Nets fanbase has a general consensus on because you have nothing better to do since the Knicks suck.

Not only is that wrong but Lopez has sat out entire 4th quarters because the Blazers used Kaman or Freeland. So that number should be higher.

Come on. Robin is almost a defensive anchor, plays well within an offense, sets good screens, is unselfish and a natural leader.

Brook has one real skill: low-post scoring. He can't pass, he can't really rebound, can't defend.

Robin is more valuable in my opinion. And for way less money and he can stay healthy. :confusedshrug:

I'm starting to think Robin is a lot better than Brook to be honest. This is once again an example of how people overrate offense. Lopez is shooting nearly 60% from the field by the way. He does everything better than Brook. Better screens, better rebounder, better shot blocker, better passer.

I loved the Lopez signing from the start. I wish I could find all the posts where I trashed Hickson. Robin Lopez was the perfect pick up. His weakness is he gets abused by players like Dwight and skilled forwards.

Robin is one of the most underrated players in the league. He has done wonders for that Blazers team.
