This is a thread monitoring Kobe's FG percentage. As of now, after the 1-14 disaster, he's sitting at 36.7%.

Will Kobe shoot under or over 40% once this season's over? Place your bets here, bookmark this thread, and check back in a couple months.

I'm gonna go with under 40%.

I don't think this thread is allowed.. I made one asking if Kobe would have a 50% game and got banned :ohwell:

Not dissing Kobe in anyway. But his recent antics have really gotten people wondering. At this point in his career, shooting above 50% in a season is really setting the bar too high. Maybe if he becomes the third option...

Wasn't Lebron shooting 67% at a point last season or in 2012? That's ridiculous, I mean Kobe's older but come on 36% looks like he doesn't belong in the league anymore.

i think that kobe will have some good stretches this season with very good FG%.
so at the end of the season i see him at 44%

Over or under 35% might be more realistic

At some point either he will realize how much of a detriment to the team he's being and start shooting less so over.

Kobe must be not far from off being the best player at his position then. After all, James Harden shoots 39%, and somehow he's widely considered the best SG in the league.

What's remarkable is that the Rockets are still 8 - 1. (God help me, Harden could end up being MVP.)

In that respect, though, Harden is one up on Kobe. It takes an especially thick-headed approach to the game to not be able lead a team to success when you have Dwight Howard behind you.

If he doesn't sustain a significant injury, he will be above 40% at the end of the season.

The current sample size is 9 games, Kobe had a much worse 9-game shooting stretch from the 2012-13 season, and he shot 46% still

yes, the team is different etc, but slumps happen every season, especially for scorers that take a lot of shots.

My hopes still are't high. But I'm going to be generous and say he finishes off shooting between 40-43%.
