The funny thing is it backfired and they were actually hanging with the Spurs while Kobe was trying to sabotage them by not shooting, and he couldn't risk the personal embarrassment of them winning that way so he started chucking and missing, just to make sure he took the Lakers out of it. Kobe does not want to win if he can't be crowned the hero. To the point that he would rather the team lose and Kobe get criticized for shot selection, then have the team win without him taking lots of shots. Everyone should know that by now. Kobe repeatedly spits in the faces of the Laker fans and they smile and say "thanks Kobe, can I have another!"
