Stockton would still be John without Malone and vice versa although Malone would be more Karl, especially with Sloan being Jerry.

He had plenty of success before Utah including his best year statistically.

Stockton might have ended with less assists maybe but he is so far ahead of everyone he would still be the all time leader though Karl wouldn't have been around to cry about Magic having AIDS and Magic would have had more as well. Karl and Horny actually cost him assists as the years went on with their passing.

Karl would have had a harder time without John. Without Jerry they could have done better. When they ran in the '88 playoffs they were at their best. Jerry didn't like to run.
