Yes obviously Jordans stats are better, he is the better player

Plus lebron has has some great performances in the finals but at the same time he has laid a lot of duds...

Lbj doesn't have a signature finals moment yet, he will get it someday probably

Who cares what an lbj fan has to say on this subject, their bias is through the roof. You can't blame them for picking their idol over a guy from the 1980-90's

Mj has a nearly bulletproof career, it's unfair to compare lebron to that, just let him be lebron

Lebron put up numbers but that was one of the worst defensive performances from the best player on a finals team ive ever seen. Who the thinks Lebrons better than MJ besides his 18yo fans that never watched 90s ball?

Its actually EXACTLY that young audience that more often say Jordan was by far better, they cant do a more objective comparison due to not seeing LIVE game-to-game day-to-day year-by-year Jordan enough. Those guys (even the ones in their early to mid 20s, even late 20s) have seen only Jordan's highlights (highlight games & highlight videos) and learned / cared only about that....... you have not seen him be a human, you have not seen him fail, choke, flop, travel, brick, airball game-to-game.... you have not seen everyday random Jordan games....

I have witnessed Jordan during any time and let me just tell you one thing that is very clear, Lebron would have been Jordans toughest h2h matchup of his career, by far, he has never defended or been defended by such an animal.

Lebron has 0 shot of making the top 5 all time after the 07, 11 and 14 finals.

There is a difference between this actually being true and YOU WANTING IT TO BE TRUE as a sour Lebron hater.

Now, 14 Finals? What happened there? Hell, he arguably played better there than in any of his Finals...... 11 Finals i can understand.... but 07 Finals? Im sorry, but the context of that journey/that Cavs team just makes a single Finals appearance historically impressive. Disapproving him for that one is like trying to disapprove a VW Golf driver that came 2nd in a Formula 1 race........... where was Jordan at 21? But he had a bad team? Guess what, that team Lebron took to the Finals in 07 was just as bad / if not worse than any team Jordan had in the 80s...... im sure Jordan would have loved to switch his 80s early round exits for Finals appearances even if they were losses..... its not more prestigious to lose any earlier than Finals, im sorry....

MJ, Kareem, Russell, Shaq and Hakeem are immortalized there

Hakeem? Top 5?

Well, yea? Jordan was a better scorer, best ever infact, but they are different players....... Lebron however is much better than ~23 ppg, his ppg has been affected by situations Jordan has not faced.... like having a new team, roster, playing with 2 stars etc. for the first time OR getting to the Finals with the worst team in NBA Finals history and as a 21 year old trying to beat a Spurs team which even for any of Jordans/Bulls 6 Finals appearances would have been their best Finals competition...

I wouldnt be so kind to call 11 Finals a choke for Lebron.... for me you have to TRY first and FAIL miserably for that to be called a choke.... Lebron was passive, to unselfish for his own good, he averaged only something like 14 FGA that Finals, its not like that happened because of him shooting bad/choking, he shot 48% FG.... maybe if he was 4 of 30 every game, playing actually bad, actually TRYING & FAILING i would call it a choke...........

Fact: MJ played in the expansion 90s era.

87: 23 teams
95: 29 teams

Opinion: The league sucked, it is painful to watch a full game from the 90s, where no defense were played.

He is the most overrated player in basketball history. He was great and one of the best all time but LeBron would eat him alive.

To expand on this.. Imagine expanding the league with six more teams today, that would mean you'd add at least 72 new players to the league, from the d-league, low draft picks, euroscrubs etc..

MJ dominated in a weak era, weak mans tony allen in todays league.

Considering that James is judged by Finals games only, it's only right to judge Kobe by his abysmal performances in the Finals against the so called LEast.

The sad thing about Lebron is that his signature finals moment was made by Ray Allen. When you think about Lebron's performances in the finals... it is composed of:

Choking
Cramping
Ray Allen's shot
Kawhii Leonard
