Fans pay good money to watch him play. Sitting him out as extra precaution consistently doesnt seem like its right, by the fans, the business and for the game of basketball. Should the NBA start fining him and the bulls when they believe he is okay to play but decides to sit?

Also, perhaps this situation with d rose will include a new type of contract for injury prone players. A contract that has a clause for payment that is contingent only if the player actually plays games.

I really wish D Rose would play basketball.

No, doesn't make sense. No point in flogging him during the NBA regular season, it wouldn't be better if they played him every game and he was done for the season by December as in years past.

You can't have the NBA now forcing guys to play when their team is saying they're too hurt to play. Teams must be allowed to make that decision. So if a guy isn't the tough it out type, too bad.

you can't blame the bulls for doing what they are doing.

if they can still win games out east with rose sitting, then so be it.

dunno, when stern screwed spurs for going to miami with the 2nd unit (and almost winning :lol ) you would think they'll be going over bulls/drose any minute

I was really hoping to watch Rose vs CP3 tonight but i guess not.

I know it's not his fault for recovering from injuries but it's been happening wayyyyy too often and it's starting to annoy people.

And the Spurs.

Or teams for tanking.

Or teams resting players before the playoffs start, or sitting players who's teams will not make the playoffs at the end of the season.

Why would the Bulls get fined? They already have to pay him for sitting on the bench. People can sell their tickets if they don't want to go to the game or just be a real fan and watch pro's play the game. Even without Rose, real fans will get their money's worth. If you buy tickets with complete faith Rose or any other player will be playing, you're an idiot and I don't feel like fans with that mentality deserve sympathy.

He's been going through the shit with his knees the past two seasons and you guys are talking about being appalled he's sitting with nagging injuries. You should be shocked he still has the ability to be player you'd want to watch. I know I am. He can take his time. The only hope for healthier days for Derrick Rose is to be extremely cautious at this point, right now.
