Will Thibs ever play McDermott and Mirotic enough this year to develop them? It seems like he's gonna run Butler and Gibson with the way he doles out minutes. You think he'd learn about resting guys after seeing how other teams have approached workload and seeing his own guys fatigued by the playoffs. It seems unnecessary to have these players on the floor that long when they have depth this year.

Doc's been a bad GM. Weren't Gentry and Lue not retained simply because they got raises elsewhere? Doc drafted the wrong guy for this team with his first rounder, gave out the full MLE when he couldn't really afford to, botched the Dudley/Bledsoe trade, signed Farmar, etc.

Khris Middleton would be really nice on the Clippers imo. Great shooter, great SF size 6'8" 225, much better defender than Crawford, young and decently athletic as well. Just needs a great coach to put him in the right spots and a consistent role.

You don't know if the Bulls win that without JB and Taj down the stretch. It was clear the Clippers were still in striking distance. You don't want your deep bench losing a lead late in the game. Thibs did what he had to. What we do know is playing those guys all those minutes won the game, so the results speak and what you think would have happened is just imagination.

If JB and Taj played 40+ minutes every game, then I'd be concerned. It worked for tonight.

What would you want for Middleton? He could be useful on a couple teams. He's a FA at season's end right? Lol Doc should have tried to get Middleton in the Dudley salary dump by including some other asset.
