This is utter bullshit. Kobe has been getting grilled since 03....every time the Lakers have failed to win he's been the first in line to get criticized. Gasol wasn't heavily criticized unless he really played badly (08 Finals, 2011 vs Dallas, 2012 vs OKC, struggling in D'antoni's offense)...

Kobe got the blame for everything + even when the Lakers won in 2010...

Kobe is the main offensive opton, he takes the most shots, he should be the first one to get the blame, that was actually his point if you listened to that interview. He said everyone has to look at themselves first (including him), he said he doesn't want to keep on chucking like this at 36 years of age, he just wants his team to win and he's only been aggressive when the Lakers go down big. You look at the games we played close or the win over Charlotte, Kobe did not shoot as many shots. Heck, he only took 17 shots in the home opener against Houston, only took 14 shots against the Spurs and the game was close, he did not force his shot then. There's a straight correlation between Lakers giving up a big run and Kobe taking a lot of shots. The offense can't get in rhythm when the team is constantly getting killed on the other end, guys lose their confidence.
