Lebron is also a better rebounder, a better 3-pt shooter, a better overall athlete and a better passer.

Those 4 are no argument. We can argue about mid-range and defense.

Lebron is better rebounder

Jordan is a MUCH better offensive rebounder... the stats show that (4.7% offensive rebounding percentage to 3.7% for lebron).

lebron's defensive rebounding advantage is less of a value-add than jordan's offensive rebounding, since any big can go grab a couple defensive rebounds.

a better 3-pt shooter

jordan had the superior peak 3-point shooting performance - PEAK - being the key word - lebron has never gone off in a Finals with 6 threes in a half.. i'm not sure if he's ever had 6 threes in a half of ANY game, let alone a Finals game.

also, jordan had the higher 3-point percentage when it matters - in the playoffs:

3-Point Percentages - Figures EXCLUDE 1995-1997 Shortened Line Seasons

...........................................Reg Season...................... Playoffs

Jordan's Career:........................28.8%.............. ............34.5%

.................................................. ...................................

Lebron Career: .........................34.1%.................... .......33.3%

so jordan had superior peak 3-point performance and higher playoff 3-point percentage = better 3-point shooter, especially when you consider that no one practiced 3's in Jordan's day like they do now... Furthermore, MJ had a specific hate for the shot, and felt it hurt his game (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2CyJdCq-zU)... yet despite hating the shot and never practicing it, he still has the better peak and playoff 3-point shooting - if he played today when everyone loves the shot, he'd be one of the best 3-point shooters in the game.

a better overall athlete

jordan is much quicker, so he is a bigger mismatch for ALL defenders - his quickness makes him a bigger mismatch against larger defenders such as Rodman (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=359858&page=2[/LIST) or Boris Diaw, and of course he dominated smaller opponents more thoroughly as well.

jordan also jumps a ton higher off two feet (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=10455814&postcount=56
[/LIST), and by virtue of his FT line dunking with ease cocking it all the way back, he at least matches lebron's one-foot jumping ability - so he is the better overall leaper.

plus, he has a documented 48-inch vertical (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=356090[/LIST).

a better passer

the NBA's new SportsVu player-tracking data tracks ball-domination, and it showed that lebron dominates the ball as much as point guards and more than any non-point guard... lebron and harden were the only non-point guards on the list of top 50 ball-dominators shown below (sort by time of possession):

http://stats.nba.com/tracking/#!/player/possessions/?Season=2013-14

the ball-domination data shows that lebron's perception as an elite passer is overrated - he doesn't average enough assists given his level of ball-domination to be considered an elite passer... lebron's 6.3 assist average last year is average for a ball-dominator - it's about the same as the assist average of off-ball players Bird and Jordan (6.5 and 5.7 respectively in playoffs), and only about half the average of the real best-passing ball-dominators like Magic, Nash, and CP3... even a guy like durant dominated the ball 28% less than lebron, but got only 13% less assists (5.5 to 6.3).

while lebron has gotten to dominate the ball like a point guard his entire career, jordan averaged nearly the same assists while playing off-ball... there's only been one time in jordan's career that he got to dominate the ball like a point-guard - Doug Collins moved Jordan over to point guard for the last 24 games of the 1989 season (http://www.complex.com/sports/2014/01/michael-jordan-point-guard-in-1989-posted-triple-double-10-of-11-games), and he averaged 30 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists (http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jordami01/gamelog/1989/#322-345-sum:pgl_basic), including a stretch of 10 triple-doubles in 11 games, and a general consensus that he was already the best point guard in the league.

so as it turned out, jordan was the better passer while playing BOTH on-ball and off-ball; his good passing was not limited to playing on-ball like lebron.

Yes there are arguments to be made, easily...

Rebounds, that one LeBron has because he should just on height and positional advantage, MJ was a SG, LeBron is a SF/PF. MJ compared to other SGs was an elite rebounder, LeBron is an average rebounder compared to other SF/PFs. BTW, careerwise, LeBron averages just averages over 1 board more than Jordan so it's not he kills him in this category.

Defense, MJ won DPOY, LeBron hasn't (most likely never will)...Bron is so overrated by his stans as a defensive stopper, shut down defenders don't let role players win Finals MVPs doe, his defensive cover too.

Overall athlete, that's debatable, Bron is bigger and stronger, Jordan was quicker, faster, more agile. Jordan had much better mid air body control. Jumping ability, both are elite...depends on what you value more, bigger/stronger vs quicker/more agile.

Passing, LeBron is the more willing passer, when MJ concentrated on being a playmaker, he put up elite assists averages (Bulls/Lakers Finals).

3 pt shooting, LeBron uses the three point shot as a big part of his arsenal, Jordan didn't but when did, he had huge playoffs games shooting the three ball. But go ahead and count this for LeBron, lol.

Edit; I wrote this response from page 1, I didn't see 3ball destroying Dragic, lmao. 3ball posts facts an figures along with anecdotes. Dragic counters with eye test :lol :facepalm
