#3 in PPG - 25.2 ( 27.3ppg league leader )
#3 in RPG - 11.7 ( 12.4rpg league leader )
#1 in BPG - 4.0
#1 in SPG - 2.33
oh yeah and
#9 in FG% - .579 ( no one above him over 16ppg )
i'm not big on stats telling the whole story. but this is hard to ignore.
hes already arguably the best player in basketball.

You and I both know kenneth's agenda for making this thread and saying "hes already arguably the best player in basketball."
Don't act.

Right now, he is arguable for that. He probably isn't, but at this point, with the impact he has defensively on the court, that alone makes him elite. Adding in 25 ppg on 55%+ and almost 80% FT makes him a candidate for best, and easily top 3 (probably top 2 until Durant comes back).
Don't hate on a player just because he might be better than LeBron in the near future. That's the exact thing Kobe fans did with LeBron, LeBron fans did with Durant, and even Durant fans are already starting to do with AD. Watch him before you criticize.

With LeBron being so passive and unable to compete hard on an night to night basis, I'll say David is definitely the best player till Durant comes back.
Can he be a beast in the playoffs? Still remains to be seen, but for now he's the best in the world.

The only reason I would disagree with you is that I don't think he can get you a basket at anytime. He remind me of a KG type in that he will be the best player on a team but he will need a closer on his team (KG had Pierce) if he is going to make a deep run in the playoffs.
And LeBron to me is still the best. But he has played with more energy and i think he is getting use to play sf again as he played most of his minUtes over the last 4 years at present position

AD is one of my favorite young players, and I've watched all but a couple Pelican games this season.. having said, dude needs to develop more iso skill, specifically his faceup game. In crunch-time, AD hasn't impressed me much as dude has trouble getting a clean look off. Some of that has gotta do with his backcourt chuckers not getting him the ball in right spots, but honestly most of it stems from lack of experience.
Obviously that will come in due time, and like everyone said, he'll presumingly be the best player or close to in a year or two from now.

I loved that people were making fun of some of us for saying going into the season he was for sure the #3 player in the league. With Durant out and Lebron having a stacked team, it is very close to saying AD is the best single player in the league. Next season I say for sure he will be the best player on the planet.

That's what separates Durant from AD.
Durant has the most valuable ability in basketball.... the ability to create and takeover a game.
Durant being the best scorer on the planet, a guy who also has an all-around game. He can pass, rebound, defend, and has a certain leadership I haven't seen from AD yet.
All AD has is stats right now. When he's able to develop as a leader and a winner, that's when all the hype will be warranted.
KD changed the whole culture of a franchise, with the help of Westbrook. They hold everybody to a very extreme standard. Those guys work day in, day out, year in, year out, like very few have in the history of the league.

Best player in the world this year, imagine if he had a real pass first PG
If he's THIS good at 21....
Haven't watched him play much but highlights show me he is insane in the open court, great hustle on boards, insane length allows him to block jump shooters cleanly, he has great handles for a big, smooth jumper, and the ability to score in the post. Definitely will be a guy I will try to watch more often

Gotta love that famous "2/5." What a choker. Being 0/0 is obviously much more successful.
And I still don't know where Jerry West got the nickname, "Mr. Clutch" from. He should be known as "1/9."
