As a prospect based on how he is playing right now. Dude deserved Bran's level of hype.

A Duncan / KG hybrid. Is under hyped. A top 10 - 12 player and a top 25.

That is a lot of hype

What he's doing now doesn't relate to what he was as a prospect, we can't just rewrite his history. He wasn't nearly the player Lebron was at 15, 16, 17, etc. He transformed into a sick prospect towards the end of high school and into college, but Lebron was something else entirely, from a much younger age. Lebron seriously could've played in the NBA at 16..dude was 6'7-8" 235-240 with insane athleticism at 15-16. Davis the start of his junior year was a 6'3" guard, and even when he hit that growth spurt he was a twig. I think the hype Davis got was right around what he deserved at the time, he's just validating it now.

Compare his pre-draft hype to Bran's pre-draft hype. No comparison.

Lebron's pre draft hype was warranted. Like poster above said, Davis wasn't nearly the prospect Lebron was

Bran accurately tried to get into th NBA at 16.

Brans hype was above anything we have seen since Duncan and Ewing.

Wiggins had more hype going to KU and the NBA.

Of course he was. Insane athleticism paired with insane length and potential.

He had a lot of hype if you ever watched him in college ball. I remember larry brown said whoever drafts him will immediately be a 50 win team.

Well said! To the bolded part, Jalen Rose has said that LBJ at that age would go to Chicago to play pick-up with MJ, Rose, and other NBA players. Specifically leading up to his return to the game as a Wizard, LBJ got invited to the games. Just insane physical tools he had at such a young age

people thought he was going to be a poor offensive player at first.

I knew that was BS. With his level of quickness and length, there was no way he was going to be a negative on offense. You have to be Javale McGee level stupid to mess up those physical tools.

Thing is.....he showed a jumper too! Length+Quickness+Any semblance of a J= All Star big man
