He's 36 years old and coming off a harsh knee injury and he's still one of the best players in the game.

Unreal.

Oh lord. Kobe with a star studded cast out in the East his whole career....

Would likely have 6+ rings by now.

He had his chance but told Calipari he wouldn't sign with the Nets.

Good training regiment probably. I'm pretty worried that he's playing 35 MPG though. It should be more around 30.

Kobe playing in the Eastern Conference his entire career wouldn't even be fair. He'd be at least in the ECF every season for a long time.

Fun fact: out of his 9 playoff appearances, lebron has been to at least the ECF 8 times.

even then he's suffered so many injuries over the years, albeit not as debilitating as his achilles tear but to go through so much pain and still be so good is amazing

he is a lanky 2.11 m guy, absolutly no athletism, at least no comparable to a kobe athletism....and look what he has done. he worked so hart, so fvkcing hart....

ahh, yeahh, a 7 foot guy with great mobility and coordination - Dirk didn't luck out at all with that combination, only hard work was needed!!

How does being lanky demonstrate great work ethic? I'm not saying Dirk hasn't got exemplary work ethic, but wtf are you blabbering about here, and why are you even bringing up Dirk at all?

Karl Malone was the MVP at 35 and had an even better season at 36. That was near the start of the time where 35 wasnt that old.

I dont know why people keep thinking Kobe is gonna fall off. I noticed people write him off due to age like 3-4 years ago.

He just doesnt seem like the type to fall off early to me.

So we are saying its easier to become as good as Dirk is at 6'5'' than 7'1''?

Considering the game he plays...I dont know about that.

Dirk is a more talented midrange/outside scorer than an awful lot of hall of fame guards.

He didnt just....pull that out of the air because hes 7 feet tall. If he did...why is he the only bigman who ever did it*?

*with all due respect to the slightly smaller Bob Mcadoo and Jerry Lucas

"It's not the age, it's the mileage. Michael has highway miles, I have offroad miles."

Kobe's knees are shaky and obv the achilles injury. He's not "old" but he has a lot of wear and tear.

His game, a lot of start/stop, quick jumps, change of direction. It destroys your joints.

What would Kobe be without great bigs? Also, 38% chuck mode and 2/9 record being considered great nowadays? okay.

He's the greatest of all time. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone...GOAT skills, footwork, work ethic, killer instinct, looks and these are the results. 36 years old and STILL best player in the NBA, 19 years of dominance and counting:bowdown:
