They are polar opposites

And LeBron would have deferred to Kobe his entire career

And they would have won rings on a Jordan/Pippen level

Discuss.

In terms of perimeter players, Lebron, Bird, and Magic can play great with ANY OTHER SUPERSTAR PERIMETER PLAYER FLAT OUT! I know that sounds easy, but I think those three would complement Kobe's skills the best for the bigger perimeter players (6'6 and up) Bron and Magic are pass first players as it is and can play four positions. Bird is arguably the greatest shooter of all time, versatile as hell, and is arguably the greatest technician (fundamentals) the game has ever seen. And Bird is the ONE player that I can't really tell is pass first or score first. He was never his team's primary ball handler (like a Bron, Hill, or Pip at SF playing point forward). But he was ALWAYS his team's best passer from the SF or PF position. He really seemed to always make the right offensive play. So Kobe would fit much better with these kind of guys as opposed to guys like MJ, Melo, Durant, Nique, Dr. J, etc.

imagine every double team kobe draws off the pick and roll. dishing it to lebron instead of guys like boozer

or imagine lebron with the game on the line. being able to let someone else take over

... wait a minute... he had that with wade in 2011 and he quit

nevermind. this is a bad idea
