he was high enough to dunk it off that layup attempt.

Dude's actually a good player he's leading a Bucks team to a 7-5 record he's just got the worst luck in the world when it comes to hilarious plays. Ask Detroit if they would want him and Middleton back.

Rushed it, gotta slow down those last two steps but he may not have had time and the pressure got to him. I've had similar things happen, so I'm not gonna judge too harshly.

:facepalm :hammerhead:At first, I thought he should have dunked the one last night but on second look, I don't know if he was absolutely high enough. On the Celtics link, he definitely should have dunked. He took off from far enough away and with enough momentum to peak high enough to jam and it looked like he wanted to, then decided not at the last second.

Such is the life of a "sometimes" dunker. I've been there. There's some people who can dunk without ever, ever thinking twice (usually over 6'6'' or with 43'' verts) and then there's those who have to consciously make a pretty full effort whenever they want to throw down. And whenever that type of effort is required, there's often the chance of doubting or wondering whether that effort will be properly tapped when needed most.

The big thing in coaching on that Knight play is to "not be flashy" and take the sure shot (a layup) but I wonder if going against one's natural response (to elevate and dunk) highly increases the likelihood of something bad happening. Maybe the right play is to treat it like any play. If he would have dunked it in the 2nd quarter, perhaps he should have attempted the same in OT.

That is just embarrassing. People would get shit for that on the HS level :lol
