I was one of his many doubters coming into the league, but he's definitely proved a lot of people wrong. This guy's a beast.

Too bad his back court is a ****ing mess, or else they'd be contending for a playoff spot in the 4-6 range. Those stats are incredible though :biggums:

Imagine if they kept Noel and then finished with the 9th to worst record last year and won the draft. They would of had Davis, Noel and Wiggins. That length and upside of the team would of been absurd...

He's good, but unless he wins soon... He will go through the intense scrutiny that guys like Kobe and Lebron had to endure. Specifically LBJ. Whatever they can hate on, they will use it.

Ohh yeah for sure. LeBron has his receding hairline, but Davis has a fckin unibrow... might get out of hand.

I had a few questions coming in too. But he's definitely been better than I expected. In fact he's been so good I can't imagine even his biggest supporters saw this coming.

I wish they had kept Noel too. Just to see what that type of twin tower defense would've looked like with both having at least some of the mobility to get out and cover the stretchier big players the league throws out there these days.

Why are they comparing a whole season for olajuwon to only 10 or 11 games for Davis...

Why are they comparing a whole season for olajuwon to only 10 or 11 games for Davis...

just a comparison to show what could be. I don't know why people get up and arms about this shit. It's better than the subjective stats espn picks out for Lebron and other stars

bs like only player with 25/5/5/1/0.68383/28 in 36.3 minutes.

this is at least relevant to show the pace and domination he has had thus far in the season.

Winning is the main point to playing.

such an amazing talent.

Don't forget Hakeem started playing ball at a very late age, and also had to spend the first years of his NBA career next to Ralph Sampson, who was also averaging nearly 20 ppg and 11 rpg.

Hakeem made the finals the season prior to that.

He's been playing like a beast. I don't really wanna compare him to Hakeem at this point, and let's see how he ends up the season.

Hakeem made the finals the season prior to that.

And that team was already great, with lots of potential still... Too bad it all fell apart quickly.
Plus, Hakeem was already so skilled in the post in his early days, you just don't see youngsters coming up to the league like that.

Hakeem made the finals the season prior to that.
But he lost, so he was 0/1. Pathetic.

Still question how the Pelicans built around him. That team is primed for a second round ceiling in the West. And that's only because how great Unibrow will become. If he were merely a situational great player then you are looking at a fight for playoffs/first round roster.

davis needs to develop a post game if he wants to be elite when his athleticism goes away.

Hakeem dominated the Lakers in the West finals and what was proclaimed as the Greatest Frontcourt in league history in the Finals. Averaged 27 and 11 and 3.5 blocks and 2 steals a game in the 1986 playoffs.

his post game is pretty deadly, the Pels just don't know what an entry pass looks like, it's all pick and roll.

So now that Kevin Love is on the Cavs, people are gonna start calling Davis the new "empty stat" dude?

If you can find something negative to say about Anthony Davis right now, you need to stop being a little bitch.

Brow is that dude right now and probably for a long long time. He can be a top 10-15 player all time based on potential and how great he already is at 21.

Do you want to see Hakeems stats from some of his 10 game spans?

Davis only plays offball and is the beneficiary of passes for oops/dunks/rolls etc.

Hakeem actually initiated the offense for his team onball

Davis is the best young player in the league, but Davis won't be Hakeem until he wins some championship while destroying some Hall of Famers in the process.

his post game is pretty deadly, the Pels just don't know what an entry pass looks like, it's all pick and roll.
He's also not great though at pinning down his man to get good positioning for an entry pass. A lot of the time he's recieving the ball with his back to the basket he's almost at the 3 point line and then he's forced to face up. It's all moot though because like you said, the entry passes to him are seldom to never.
