Does the new cap ceiling benefit the large market teams the most? I can see Lakers and Boston continue to tank and hit the player market hard with greater relief space. Especially LA who are infamous for throwing big money, keeping in mind that Kobe's contract will come off the books by that time.

stars want to shine. Kobe won't let anyone shine apart from himself. Lakers will be great again when kobe retires

2 years away and all owners will be making more money with the new TV deal. Plus we will have another lock out before then. We have to wait to see what the new cba looks like

I know the Max contracts are 30% of the cap. Are the Min, MLE, and all other types of salaries based on percentages of the cap also?
I don't think a higher cap will really change much. It will just make the average salary will go up like 30%.

That's why Lebron didn't sign long term. He wants 30% of that 90mil.

But the lockout in a couple years will change the CBA anyway.

Plus to go over the cap you can only resign your own players or use the MLE if your over the cap. Since the Lakers will be under the cap it will take years for them to get over the cap to spend much over the 90 unless they make trades adding upto25% more then they send out.

Next year with the Cap EST at 67 million.

They are at 43 million between Kobe, Randle, Swaggy P, Hill. Plus 2 million on options for Sarce and Clarkson.

So assuming they pick up those since there salaries are smaller then a cap hold your at 45 plus 6 cap holds at around a million each. Already at 51.

If you keep your top 5 pick add another 3 to 6 million of cap hold. If you loose your pick you don't need to.

The Lakers next season will have around 14 million in Cap space if they loose there pick. Plus maybe a few exceptions.
