Long time known he's one of the best free throw rebounders in history at his position or otherwise.

One of my favorite announcer moments was many years ago Kobe was lining up in that spot for an offensive free throw rebound and the other team put a bigger player (but a rookie) in front of him. Jeff Van Gundy said just before the free throw "They shouldn't put that rookie against Kobe in that spot. Kobe is the best offensive free throw rebounders in the league right now." Two seconds later Kwame bricked the free throw of course, and Kobe easily outmaneuvered the rookie for the offensive rebound and putback.
