I was watching that game and told my friend one day he will be GOAT and pass up Jordan.

How time flies....Kobe is going to do just that.

It's a shame he couldn't win more rings than MJ.

I remember 35 year old MJ sonning Kobe in that year's ASG. And then destroying the team that pounded those '98 Lakers. I don't even remember this meaningless contest.

It's funny how Pippen is called by some the best ever perimeter defender and he just always got abused by Kobe so effortless. It was like MJ in practice all over again lol.

He didn't destroy Kobe. That was a rigged allstar game because it was MJ's last. Kobe was dominating in that game and gave it to MJ. They benched Kobe in the 4th and East went on to win what would have been a close game.

I wrote a thread about this and MJ was quoted as saying, "Didn't want to get dominated by Kobe."

I will make another thread on this.

How can anyone laugh at a 16 year old with the guts to keep shooting after not 1. Not 2. But 3 air balls in a high pressure situation like that.

That was the beginning of the most alpha player in nba history. If that happened to mj. Even his ego would have been crushed into something resembling kwame brown for the rest of his life

Not kobe though. And thats why he has a top 5 all time resume

Dude is the most cut throat player ever bar none

fixed for accuracy

He air balled 4 times so he actually continued air balling after 3 air balls
