View Full Version : Lebron to PF and Love to C - Open Lanes

atm lebron is driving into PF/Cs. Love will stretch the C to the 3pt line and Lebron will blow by his PF defender for easy lay ups. Should be even easier than the Miami Heat days because Love can and will stretch the C to the 3pt line while Bosh was only able to do it to the long 2 (recently acquired shaky 3). This also will mean more driving lanes for the other guards as well. Blatt implement this now!!

The problem is not the offense in this case but the defense. THey need to change that defensive pattern ASAP...also can someone teach Lebron to play offball like a true superstar is supposed to do. Like Wade did....yeezus Christ.:lol

Andy has been there 2nd best player by a long way, playing Love @ C leaves him out of the rotation and he's only one of two players on that squad that helps you win.

Andy and TT can come off the bench, its all about sacrifice and Andy has not been a winning formula the past 4 years.

But Waiters/Irving/Thompson were?

No one on that team plays better with LeBron than Andy and he's a good mid range shooter, elite rolling to the rim and solid defender.

LeBron is the best player in the league and according to the dumb impressionable ones here Love is top 7-10, so yeah, lets play them out of position.

You mean the same way Lebron and Bosh played out of position and won 2 championships?

Bosh. When LBJ played out of position he choked. He has to be the complete focus of the offense to thrive, he is NOT the off ball player D-Wade was their first two years together.

But he's conflicted , he knows he doesn't wanna have to play every possession damn near like how it got towards the end of Miami. but at the same time he doesn't want Love or Kyrie to have a better season than him, so it looks like an awkward push and pull out there.

Yea, but Bosh was the only person seriously playing out of position. LBJ became a better shooter , but otherwise it's always been his drive and overpower guys or kick out for three.

Their biggest problems imo is that Love and Irving aren't the Defenders Wade and Bosh were. Even when Wade was out a lot last year , his defense was decent until he burned out in the Finals.

Defence in my opinion is more system orientated than individual talent. Just look at spurs for example who had one of the best defences with a group of players like Ginobili, Parker, Mills, Bellineli etc who were all average/below average individual defenders. They had two good defenders in Duncan and Leonard but every team has two good defenders...even The cavs have a Varejao/Marion/Lebron who can defend well but defence is system and effort. If a player wants to be a good defender, they only have to work on their defensive drills and have a good defence minded coach. Defence isn't like offence..You don't just turn into a great shooter/great dribbler but defence...you can learn the sets and plays and fight hard to be in good positions.

I think their offense is a problem aswell, their bench is horrible, i think i heard they averaged the least bench points in the league and the offense makes me cringe anytime Lebron is not orchestrating, when Lebron is not around Kyrie is often basically just running up and hoisting a shot asap with 20 sec to go on the clock, some weird decision making & shot selection, lots of settling for jumpshots, everybody.... their offensive / chemistry is still not there... and did i mention their bench was horrible? yea, horrible.

If their offense is fixed then i think they can easily overcome their defensive shortcomings as their offense can be really insane.

1st year in Miami they had these problems aswell, including a bad record early on, we just need to be patient.

Yes, but not all at once.... and unfortunately it seems thats exactly what is required for them to have a chance defensively.... because currently Lebron can defend any position better than any Cavs player can, only Varejao is aight at PF, Cavs have that bad defenders....

it's on lebron if he can't find a way to mesh with Kyrie, Love, Waiters

a team with Kyrie, Love, Waiters is a ECF team minimum. The problem is obviously Lebron and his ball dominant style and diminished athleticism

a lebron with declined hops is cancerous to his team becaue how sensitive to athleticism his game is

They will be aight, just to many new things going on for everybody there right now, everything doesnt fall into place in just 10 games.
