Career high in points with 4 steals. Kid's showing his potential and Kevin Martin's injury is a blessing in disguise. Without that chucker, Wiggins can gun more.
Expecting to see more 20+ points in his next outings. Don't be surprised if he drops 30+.

Good god that Minnesota announcer sounds like he's got a rusty iron rod up his ass.

Great game by Wiggins though.

Good to see them going to him more and more. He's becoming more assertive and confident with every game. I think the next step is consistency though, because it's almost guaranteed that his next game will be a 2-7, 8 point type game. Looking forward to their next game on Wednesday - main ROY candidates playing each other.

That'll still happen a lot as he is 19 and a young 19 at that, but as I have said in previous threads we are gonna see the production continue to skew upwards, and by the end of the year it will be a 17/6/3 type line.
What really needs to be put to rest now is the idea that he has no skills.
-He is good in the open floor
-He gets to the line
-He moves well off the ball
-His jumper is really wet
-He can post up and score in the low post, and post up at the elbow (this is a really nice thing to have, Flip is smart to run and develop this as so much offense is run through that spot on the floor these days).
Think about that for a second, right away in November of year one, he is effectively posting up in NBA games. I am hard pressed to think of another wing superstar who could post up with such effectiveness from the onset. Once Minnesota gets better shooting and the middle opens up a bit he will be able to drive more and thus become a threat everywhere inside 25 feet.

I've been impressed with the kid since Kansas. I was just always 1a/1b with Embiid before the injury. And for me to think that is the biggest compliment in the world because at that time I thought Embiid would be the next great center, not like Dwight but more like Duncan/Shaq.
Kid looks good out there. Lets not forget that he is blowing by Rudy Gay and posting Rudy Gay. The same Rudy Gay that does a good job on some special guys in the league.

There is nothing impressive in this video. The guy is already getting gift calls. He goes up weak as sh*t.

Hate Cavs GM for trading him and AB away just to get Lebron Kevin Love. Now the team is paying for it

Love how the announcer was admiring DMC's ball handling skills for a big and each time he does he turns it over :lol

He actually showed some will to win last night. I was impressed, though it looked like he had to work very hard to get all of his points. He needs to find more ways to get easy baskets in order to up his production and prolong his career.

I still think Bennett will ultimately pan out to be a better player than Love.
Said it before the trade, multiple times.
Wiggins is also looking very nice.
It's still to early in the season to pass any real judgements though...

You think Bennett will be 26+/15+ player some point in his career? :coleman:

Then you are a god damn moron. Will he be way better? Yes. Better than Love? No. Will we regret the trade? Of course, I can't imagine I will ever approve of that trade.

I exaggerate obviously.
Love is arguably a top 5 overall player in the league if going by the stats he's put up in the past. He's also got a pretty high b-ball IQ which is important.
Bennett gonna be good tho

i really see love as a stat-padder on a bad team, where the offense is designed around him.
now that he can't do that and everything is no longer set up just for him, he doesn't appear able to score in a complimentary fashion that disrupts the defense, other than being a floor-spreader - HALF his shots are from three.
and he looks bad trying to play defense or do other things to contribute.
otoh, i think that alongside lebron, wiggins WOULD be able to score in disruptive ways despite being a complimentary piece and not the focal point... wiggins' speed and athleticism off-ball alongside lebron would be very disruptive for any defense.

I said at the beginning of the year 18/5/2 for him, so we agree there. Don't think he's going to get up to 3 apg though just because of how quickly he gets rid of the ball. He doesn't try to be a playmaker yet, he either makes a move to score or keeps the ball moving, and even though that may result in less assist stats, it keeps the offense from becoming stagnant so I see that as a good thing.
What really needs to be put to rest now is the idea that he has no skills.

Absolutely. I doubt anyone thought he was this good of a shooter already. Two of the most important skills though for a wing player in my opinion is finishing/ball control and those continue to look a bit sloppy (he's 19, he's not going to be perfect obviously) but even on the layups he makes, he seems to be going away from the basket and forcing it up there (like a bad 2k14 animation).
Think about that for a second, right away in November of year one, he is effectively posting up in NBA games. I'm just as excited as you to watch him develop. He's the baseball equivalent of a 5 tool player already, which is fun.

Ive caught a few Wolves games so far and Wiggins is looking good, hes in the perfect situation now with Martin out..
Its great to see Flip giving the young guys a lot of minutes and seeing what they can do. Luckily they got rid of Adelman stupid old fart.
Bennett is looking a lot better also:cheers: Im surprised how shit Shabazz is though, he was so hyped before thought he would actually be decent but he looks slow, unathletic and just all around average..
Ive always said Love was a mega overrated stat padder, so for those saying hes so great listing his 25/15 averages they mean nothing. The guy is a spot up 3 point shooter on the Cavs, and not a very good one..
Wiggins and Bennett must be cheering they got away from Cleveland:lol

If you're comparing him to his High School hype you're right. If you are comparing him to his draft hype you are wrong. Shabazz has been playing pretty good , way better than last season now that he is working hard and is in shape.

Wiggins has an absolutely sick step back mid range jumpshot. He can already get it off at will and is shooting at at a fairly decent clip (41%). Once he can improve on the percentage a bit he will posses one of the most deadly isolation and goto moves in the NBA.
