I'm new on there and I want to link something about my personal business (not gonna get into what it is). Reddit is obviously a great way for exposure. Anyway, if I have a link that would actually fit in TWO subreddits(or more), can I post it in a couple of different subreddits? Or should I only post it in one subreddit?

i dont think redditors take kindly to blatant self promotion

Its not blatant self promotion. Imagine I own a site where I publish articles, and I publish a relevant article containing relevant news in the relevant subreddit. Its self promotion, yes, but its still informative and useful to the readers. Anyway, the point is can I post the same link to a couple of different yet equally relevant subreddits or am I limited to one? Like will there be any issues if I post it in different places?

Just do it. About 10 people will click on it anyway.

PM me that link brodie

I would, but I dont want any association between my business stuff and my ISH stuff. I have said too many fcked up things on here that can never get out lol. If it does well you will come across it anyway though, Im sure of it.

I've seen duplicate posts in subreddits that are shown like this:

Example

"Dwight Howard fcked a minor" posted in /r/news

"Dwight Howard fcked a minor (x/post from /r/news)" posted in /r/NBA

I can't remember if it's "x/post from..." or something else they add in the title, but they do mention in the title that it is a double post.

So if it is a repeat post from a different subreddit, people wouldn't take kindly to you posting it again? Also how would they know you posted it in two places unless they happened to visit both subreddits? If the subreddits are generally not that related yet both apply to your post, can you risk just posting it in two subreddits?

Sorry if I sound dumb with these questions, I just dont wanna mess this up and get a bad reputation or get banned. I have something I need to post tomorrow and don't have that much time to get really acquainted with reddit and the etiquette on there.

If it's important to you, just make a 2nd account and post it from there.
