View Full Version : Lin is quietly dominating the league...

49% from the floor, 39% from 3, 87% from the line. 12.1 ppg, 4.9 apg. Great defense. (Even though you aren't allowed to defend anymore)

Top 10 PG.

I won't go as far as to say he's dominating but he's DEFINITELY playing solid. And he's totally the Lakers' scapegoat, his play has not been bad but judging by this board you'd think he was putting up 8/4 on 33%. Gets no credit when he's playing well, but takes the heat for a bonehead play. Hopefully this trend of him shooting more than 5 times a game continues.

I'm a Lakers fan and happy he's doing well, but cmon..

(chances are I just fell for a troll, )

If you're going to troll, at least use an advanced statistic that vastly overrates his play.

His points and assists are something a sixthan would have.

12 and 5 on the worst team in the league is considered domination?

Kobe eats first.

He'd put up 20 and 9 without Kobe.

But the Kobe formula is too proven to discontinue.

Cause people like Cocaine80s and Smoove A for some reason hate Lin for no apparent reason. And the multiple ALTs they have.

welcome to being Kobe's teammate

remember when the stans were all about blaming things on Gasol who was a legit top 5 PF for most of his run in LA?

it doesnt matter who it is, one of his teammates is going to get blamed for losing even though a big part of why they do is Kobe's complete refusal to play real team ball

lol...I'd love to know the stats the opposing PGs put up on him. He's getting outplayed most of the time.

So Lin is dominating the league, Kobe is the MVP, and yet somehow LA is 3-11. You know, at some point you are going to have to start employing logic.

So can I make a thread for every player in the league putting up 12pts and 5 assists claiming they are dominating? Is that how ISH works these days?

There is no reason. Dragic/Irving/Teague/Williams should be highlighted with a :biggums: they are clearly better than Lin.

That's a fair comment in general but OP started this thread talking about how Lin is "dominant." That's how you get an average player torn down.

andremiller07
11-24-2014, 06:04 PM
He's terrible, he makes killer turnovers all the time (at key times in particular) that lead to fast-breaks, he's one of the worst starting PG's in the NBA there plenty of back up's who are better.

He looks out of his depth as a starting PG.

If he was on a team where he could have the ball for the majority of time (not with Kobe, Harden, Melo etc..) he'd easily average 20/8.

This... there were multiple threads created after his 0 point stinker (although he only took 3 shots and the game was a blowout so he sat). Here's the flipside.

I would like to just see consistency from him. When he is playing with confidence, he is solid. However, he has a tendency to be tentative whrn things are not going well and that hurts a already depleted and talentless team. As a pg, he is careless with the ball at times and he does not have elite ball handling skills. His strength is his penetration but he turns the ball over doing so at times. He takes a back seat to kobe and does not assert himself when kobe is in.

He is best fit as a spark off the bench leading the 2nd unit where he has the ability to dominate the ball. He does not play well without the ball. I know I've listed a bunch of negatives, I do think he has game. When his drive and kick is on, he changes the flow of the offense. He has a decent midrange game and has elusive speed. He has a knack for finding guys in the air and can create problems for opposing defenses. However, There are just a # of things he does wrong that makes me believe he is not a starter on a great team
