View Full Version : Kobe at Lebron's current age went to 3 straight Finals

Kobe Bryant - August 23, 1978 (age 36 years), Philadelphia, PA
Lebron Ja - December 30, 1984 (age 29 years), Akron, OH
Lakers guard Kobe Bryant might only be 30 years old (well, he'll be 31 in August), but after more than a decade of NBA rigors, a hard fall takes its toll, as it did in Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Orlando Magic.

Nash has as many MVPs as Shaq, Kobe and Wade combined.
Kobe has 2 Finals MVPs. LeBron has 2 Finals MVPs.

Before that, Lebron went to 4 straight finals while Kobe was fighting to even make playoff.
And before that Lebron carried a team while Kobe was busy being Shaq's sidekick.

Nash's Suns had overachieved in 2 straight years than Kobe could ever dream of. Kobe only win when he had super stacked team that's why he was never a MVP type of player.

I don't get it. If Lebron goes to the Finals this year, that's 5 straight Final appearances at Kobe's age. 4 straight appearances at the age of 29.
Is this thread supposed to be a put down on Lebron. It's confusing.

Kobe choose to rebuild at age 25, Lebron choose to stack the deck.
Kobe 2006-08 on the 2011-13 Heat???
3 FMVP's and 3 rings without a doubt.
Lebron rigged the system and did....meh.

Yes, because that starting 5 was so healthy
Nash - broken leg 2nd game of the season, nerve damage
Kobe - Torn achilles after willing the team to a 70%+ record after the ASB, playing the best team ball of his career
Artest - torn meniscus in April
Pau - leg injury
Dwight - coming off back surgery (not playing for more than half a year), shoulder injury
Plus the injuries on the bench
That squad is healthy and they are a contender. Kobe and Dwight alone pushed the team back into the Playoffs, I think they won 28 out of their last 40 games. Healthy squad is a top 3 seed in the West.

run to play in Miami with Wade and you could do it two, and good chance you will win 2 out of 4 too.
to do it from the wild west with Pau and Odom is much much harder than to do it from the weak east, who the hell did he beat to get out of this East? the bulls? The Pacers? really? really?
bravo for makin it out of the east 4 times with Miami:applause: :applause: truly impressive.

The ***** that negged me for this post won't even tell me who he is
Yeah, like these are just "excuses", and Kobe & Dwight alone should be enough to win 50+ games when the rest of the team is injured or garbage :wtf:

Have you ever had cramps before? Its not a joke. People can die from them. I know a guy who became paralyzed from the waist down from cramps.

Let's see if Bran at age 31 can even lead his team to a Finals appearance in a weaker conference, with more help :confusedshrug:
Kobe at 31 averaged 29/5/6 on 48/41/82 shooting in the first 3 rounds en route to a Finals appearance :kobe:
