10 titles or more. Pop keeps Kobe in check and matures him like Phil never could because Kobe is too Alpha.

Spurs destroy the Heat in 2013 with a Kobe. **** rape them in fact.

You remember what he put up before the injury?

Only teams I could possibly see beating them before the Big 3 Celtics & Heat

2000 Trail Blazers
2002 Kings
2004/05 Pistons
2005 Heat

I'm assuming he's injured doe.. And Duncan choked vs Heat in game 6.

To the tune of 30/17, best +/- on either team, and his team losing the game because he wasn't there.

Sure...

Too many variables here.. is kobe on the spurs or duncan on the lakers? Does shaq remain on LA if the latter? If not where does he go to? Answer these questions and an accurate answer can be provided.

Well which team are they playing on, whose coaching, and how much are they getting paid? To many what ifs.

If Duncan got drafted to LA in 98 in place of Shaq (and no Gasol), I say they win 5 (99, 01, 02, 03, maybe 09).

Kobe in place of Robinson and no Manu, Spurs win 5 (02, 03, 06, 07 and 13).

Of course this all gets confusing with the competing teams. Kobe took the Suns to 7 in 06. With Duncan they win. But the Spurs wouldn't be a contender so it'd just be the Mavs in the West.

Depends on what team Shaq is playing on in those years.

impossible. Is there a teammate which even liked kobe besides artest and swaggy?

shaq, bynum, gasol, eddie jones, karl malone, smush, kwame, henry, lin, boozer, phil, dantoni, brown, etc

pop would've traded kobe. :applause:

depends on where shaq goes in the early 00's. Kobe, Duncan and Pau would definitely get 4+ titles though and still be contending to this day. Imagine if those three got Kawhi too, oh lawd.

3. lesser than duncan with is actually team. duncan and parker would have to bail out kobe pretty often.

I'll assume Shaq stays with the Magic and plays with T-Mac till 04 then goes to the Heat like he did, Gasol stays with the Grizzlies, and Duncan is on the Lakers the whole time with no Shaq and no Gasol.

98 - Lose to Jazz
99 - Championship over Knicks
00 - Lose to Blazers (Duncan injured)
01 - Lose to Magic (Finals)
02 - Lose to Kings
03 - Championship over Magic
04 - Lose to Pistons (Finals)
05 - Lose to Pistons (Finals - Kobe injured)
06 - Championship over Heat
07 - Championship over Cavs
08 - Lose to Celtics (Finals)
09 - Championship over Magic
10 - Lose to Celtics (Finals)
11 - Lose to Mavs
12 - Lose to Thunder
13 - Lose to Grizzlies (Kobe injured)
14 - Lose to Thunder (Kobe injured)

I'll say 5 championships, 10 Finals appearances.

I would say more then Kobe and Shaq did. Duncan is a better defensive player then Shaq was he will not take plays off and be lazy like Shaq and Kobe and Duncan would not get into big feuds since Duncan is such a good teammate.

98 - Lose to Jazz
99 - Lose to Blazers WCF (Blazers stacked, Sheed is Duncan's kryptonite, no Robinson)
00 - First-round exit (Duncan injured)
01 - Championship over Magic (Lakers have the very best role players in the league)
02 - Championsip over Magic (Duncan would have eaten Webber alive in the WCF)
03 - Championship over Magic
04 - Lose to Pistons (Finals)
05 - Lose to Pistons (Finals - Kobe injured)
06 - Lose to Mavs
07 - Championship over Cavs
08 - Championship over Celtics (Duncan huge upgrade over Gasol, Lakers would have HCA)
09 - Championship over Magic
10 - Championship over Celtics (Lakers have HCA, Duncan still better than Gasol)
11 - Lose to Mavs
12 - Lose to Thunder
13 - Lose to Grizzlies (Kobe injured)
14 - Lose to Thunder (Kobe injured)

I'll say 7 championships, 9 Finals appearances.

Fixed

Notes:

Duncan peaked in 01 - 03. He had an extra gear in the playoffs.

Kings were a bad matchup for the Lakers, and Webber offensive game was one of the biggest reasons.

Duncan is not a reliable first option in the late 2000s. However, Duncan is still light years ahead of Gasol. Kobe takes over, Duncan stays focused on defense and rebounding.

and only years they win during a year they didnt win separately is

2004, 2006, 2008, 2013

they obviously still win every year they won regardless without each other. with each other its even more of a lock

as for 2004. the pistons only took advantage of LA due to it being a 2 man team with malone hurt and payton not showing up

2006 kobe was at his peak and the heat werent even that great of a title team. just got all the calls. an even more alpha player gets the refs on his side instead

2008 kobe nearly won the title without duncan. with him they win those few more games

2013 the spurs shoulda won anyway. with kobe it doesnt come down to that shot
