Kobe gets a title shot, Rose gets a young team to develop with and gets out of the Chicago pressure cooker.
Thoughts?

On paper it makes all the sense in the world.

Rose might get trade fatigue and not play entire remaining season.
no thanks.

Great for Kobe (if he wants another ring and not to be a Laker for life) and the Bulls (they get a productive and super popular legend for someone who never plays and has a terrible contract), but awful for the Lakers. We do not want Derrick Rose's bad contract. He's basically Orlando Grant Hill at this point in time.

This needs to be an "injury" that can happen to your players in NBA 2K.

You think LA wouldn't be worse as far as "pressure cookers" go?
They'd tear him apart here dude.

That's true. But after the Nash debacle, injured PGs are kind of a sensitive topic around here

On paper it also manages to make no sense at all

LA loves rose and rose loves LA. its a good fit which might happen after his existing contract expires. But no, with rose our window of opportunity is about 3 years possibly more if rose resigns. With kobe hes done next year.

You are not taking into account Gasol's age.
