It still sucks that we're going to be without our main guys for a while. The west is a tough conference and if these injuries keep up, its going to hurt our playoff chances. We really need our team to be fully healthy if we want to compete for a spot. Hopefully Canaan's ankle injury isn't major. He's really stepped up in Beverley's absence, and has been a nice spark for us on offense.

That is the swingman type I was talking about. A two guard who who can slide to the three if needed and can put the ball and creat. Ariza is a spot up shooter who can occasionally do that. We need sustained impact off the bench. I see papanikola and Terry as salary dump players who Morey will use with the 8.4 TPE to get some help.

I think you are selling McHale short.

While normally, I'd agree with you, the lineup we had on the court in the second half outside of Harden and Ariza was as bad as you'll see anywhere in the NBA on any team. If Harden sat out against the Sixers, they would mop the floor with the talent we had in there.

To be 12-4, that's pretty damn good. They bought in defensively. We are leading the league in team defense without two elite defenders.

As funny as it sounds, we have nowhere to go up from here, which is pretty reassuring considering we are in the top half of the west right now.

Yeah maybe I'm being a little hard on McHale. It's hard to judge him as a coach because he hasn't had a healthy roster at all this season. Look at OKC without two of their starters. :lol What Houston has done with no Dwight, Jones and Beverley is pretty amazing. Lets hope Houston keeps finding way to win with a depleted roster until Howard and the other guys come back. We'll see what this Rockets defense is really capable of once we have Howard in the middle protecting the rim.

Diaw is not a pretty good center.

My point is that almost every team have a weak back up center, centers this days are in extinction and back up even more. Just because Asik was our center last year doesn't mean is normal because just what happen in Chicago and in Houston with Asik when you got talent at the position you want to start, not sit on the bench.

Deep at the wing with a score is what Houston need and health.
